A Fulbright scholar, Dr. Bongiovanni is a researcher and project leader at the Manfredi Experimental Station of the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA), where he coordinates the Environmental Footprints Program. Dr. Bongiovanni is also Professor at the Agribusiness Graduate Program at the Catholic University (UCC), Córdoba, Argentina. Dr. Bongiovanni earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural Production Economics and Strategic Agribusiness Management at Purdue University. His current research deals with agricultural development, global warming, life cycle assessment, carbon footprint, water footprint, the economics of industrial crops, innovation, spatial data analysis, and geographic information science with substantive applications in precision agriculture. He has lectured widely on these topics and held advanced workshops in South America and Europe. Dr. Bongiovanni authored or co-authored several international refereed journal articles, conference presentations; books; book chapters; technical reports; and articles in agricultural magazines. He has organized workshops for farmers and agronomists, giving numerous lectures to date. Communicating his expertise in Spanish, English, and Italian, Dr. Bongiovanni developed an extensive network within the agricultural sector of Argentina and neighboring countries. A specialist in Production and Agribusiness, Dr. Bongiovanni looks to continue his current professional associations.
